How did you get into modeling?

I was scouted when I was 17 in Stockholm. First I didn’t want to do it, but the same woman scouted me 3 more times and I was like “Ok, I guess I have to try it”.

What was the turning point for you/When did you decide to become a plus model?

When I was 22 I basically couldn’t take it anymore. The dieting (or should I say starvation?) wasn’t bearable. So I took a break for more than a year before my old agent from Paris called me and said that I should try Plus size. At first I didn’t understand what he was talking about, “Plus size? Does that even exist?” He told me to go and see Muse NYC. And I felt at home the moment I walked in.

What has been your favorite Job?

I just did the Elena Miro show in Milan. We were 22 models, all happy, gorgeous and curvy. lt was so satisfying to see “real” women in a fashion show.

What do you like to do when your not modeling?

I’m such a movie buff. I love film. I studied acting for 2 years in New York so apart from modeling I guess I would call myself an aspiring actress and singer. I love the arts in general. I think the beauty of life is to create beauty. 

Do you have a secret talent?

I’m really good at the sport “curling”.

Who is your role model?

I have many role models. Anyone that dedicates their life to “the greater good” is my role model.

If you could give your younger self advice, what would it be?

I’m not sure. I believe that everything happens for a reason and that mistakes make us grow as people. But I would probably tell myself to meditate more and do yoga as a daily routine.

Do you have any tattoos?

I have a couple of them. All of them were a last minute thing. 

The first one is on my wrist, it’s a hexagon, also known as “the Star of David”. My  friend at the time did one as well. For me it’s a reminder to read and study kabbalah and stay away from bad energy. 

The second one is on my hip, its a “triqueta” the holy trinity. For me its a reminder of what we really are. We are not only our bodies, but also our souls. I also did it to remember a special person, so I would never forget what he taught me aout myself. 

The third one is my own handwriting on my left fingers. “Sex, Love and Rock&Roll”. This one is a result of a drunken night with one of my best friends. The morning after I tried to scratch it off. But it’s still there, the message is simple. “Don’t drink too much”.

Where are you from?

I’m from a small town in the north of Sweden. Where the winters are dark and the summers are bright. We hardly see the sun in the winter, but it hardly goes down in the summer. It’s and interesting way of life. I haven’t lived there since I was 16.

Current city

New York, but going to be a lot in Los Angeles this year.
